Expediter™ Stainless Steel UID Labels
Material & Process
Expediter™ Stainless Steel UID labels are made of AMS 5513 Type 304 Stainless Steel annealed. Text and barcode marking, as durable as the metal itself, are created using the CerMark™ process:
- The surface of the stainless steel is prepared
- CerMark™, a glass-ceramic enamel, is spray coated over the entire Stainless Steel surface and dried.
- A laser traces the Human Readable and barcode information, permanently fusing the CerMark#8482; to the Stainless Steel. Excess, un-fused CerMark™ is removed - leaving behind a high contrast, high resolution mark.

Standard Expediter™ UID labels offer:
Choice of size (1/4" radius corners)
- 4" x 2" rectangle
- 3” x 1” rectangle
- 5.065” x 1.83” ‘hang tag’ shape
Thickness & Fastening method
- 0.030” with holes for fastening
Complete DoD compliance
- Construct #1 or Construct #2 (more about Construct & Format)
- Up to 4 lines of Human Readable text
- 2D Data Matrix barcode (7.5 mil to 25 mil) per MIL-STD 130 & ECC200 standards
- Certificate of Compliance with MIL-STD 130
- Grading & Verification reports per MIL-STD 130 using ISO/IEC 15415, AS9132 or AIM-DPM-12006; Sample sizes are a minimum of 25% for quantities less than 100; 10% for quantities greater than 100.
