Material & Process

Expediter™ Photo Anodized Aluminum UID labels are made of Metalphoto® anodized aluminum material. The durability of Metalphoto® comes from its exceptional process:

1. A black image is photographically reproduced on the matte aluminum surface.
2. The image is embedded within a sapphire hard anodized layer.
3. An additional intensification process further increases resistance to heat & UV rays.

Citing superior resistance to abrasion, heat & sunlight, the National Association of Graphic and Product Identification Manufacturers, Inc. (GPI) selects Metalphoto® as the most durable aluminum substrate.

Metalphoto® meets the most stringent MIL-STD's, including MIL-DTL-15024 Type G & H and MIL-P-19834. For more than 40 years, the US military has specified Metalphoto® for data plates & panels. It has been used on military vehicles & tanks, surface ships & submarines, Apollo landing craft & Space Shuttle Columbia. Metalphoto® is a trademark of Horizons, Inc.

• Up to 4 lines of Human Readable text
• 2D Data Matrix barcode (7.5 mil to 25 mil) per MIL-STD-130 & ECC200 standards
• Certificate of Compliance with MIL-STD-130
• Grading & Verification reports per MIL-STD-130 using ISO/IEC 15415, AS9132 or AIM-DPM-12006; Sample sizes are a minimum of 25% for quantities less than 100; 10% for quantities greater than 100.
